As I was watching Kathy Orta tonight at PaperPhenomenon, it seems that people wondered if this was a quilting ruler. The answer to that is, no. Now to explain a little more: I am a quilter, I have designed patterns for quilting. Quilter's use tons of different rulers for different things. You can use a quilting ruler to do trim your corners, sort of. I did not have a ruler that did this job exactly as I wanted to do it. It was still just a guess. So being a quilter, and knowing that you can get a ruler made, I designed one to do what I wanted it to do. . . exactly. So, yes there are other rulers and tools that will accomplish the same thing. And if you have them, by all means, use them. This is a ruler for those that are not quilter's or may not have invested in a tool that might work. It is a simple idea that, simply put, works for what I needed it to do, which was trim my cardstock to cover my chipboard, quickly and easily! Thank you Kathy, for your continuing support and your beautiful tutorials!

So in addition to creating albums by Kathy, I have been watching some you tube videos. This place has lots of cute, simple items for gifts! Angelwings14100
This is what I've been up to:
For this project I used Authentique "Wonder" collection and some Prima flowers.

So I thought these were cute, but I thought I could add chipboard covers for a little more body. So I did these! This was made from the BoBunny Serenade. Of course with chipboard covers, I used my perfect trim ruler!

So, once I mastered that one, I tackled this very simple ring mini album! This was made from Kaisercraft Sears and Son Collection.

An Album by Kathy Orta at Paper Phenomenon

I used my Perfect Trim Ruler to trim the corners for the cover of this new album. It is so much fun! You can find the tutorial at Paper Phenomenon. It is called Retro Fitted Mini Album. It's not really a mini at all, but a wonderful album for a variety of projects. The paper I am using is from My Mind's Eye, Follow your heart.

A special Thanks!

I must send a special thank you out to Kathy Orta at The Paper Phenomenon. She has great tutorials and kits on her blog and does a Ustream show as well as You Tube videos. There is a link to her blog in my blog list on the right. Well late last Tuesday night, then again on Wednesday night, she demonstrated the Perfect Trim ruler on her show. Let me just say that I am thrilled she liked the tool so much, and I hope all the people watching that ordered the tool enjoy it as well. I designed the tool to make it simple to trim corners while making mini albums. It is really a simple concept, but it just makes the job easy to do and get professional results without any guess work.
